Elizabeth Joseph serves as the Policy Director for Congressman Michael Guest (MS-03). In this role, she oversees a legislative team that works to advance the Congressman’s priorities and handles a portfolio of legislative issues that includes energy and the environment, health care, telecommunications, and banking/finance matters.
Previously, Elizabeth served as the Health Policy Advisor for former Congressman Gregg Harper (MS-03), as well as a Professional Staff Member for the Committee on House Administration that was chaired by Congressman Harper. Elizabeth also worked for former U.S. Senator Thad Cochran from Mississippi as Health Policy Fellow, where she was on assignment from the University of Mississippi Medical Center’s Center for Telehealth. She also has worked in state government, as a policy aide for former Mississippi Governor Haley Barbour.
Elizabeth received a Master of Public Affairs degree at The University of Texas at Austin’s Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from The University of Mississippi.
