Antibiotic Stewardship Roundtable - by invitation only, Cecchi A Room Antimicrobial resistance has become a significant global health threat. The misuse of antibiotics has resulted in increasing numbers of treatment resistant infections often leading to longer hospital stays, higher medical costs, and even mortality. As part of the continuum of care, telehealth plays a vital role in supporting antibiotic stewardship and should not be overlooked. To further understand the role of telehealth in addressing antibiotic stewardship within outpatient care the ATA is launching an initiative which is exploring how to frame possible pitfalls and potential research avenues that warrant further attention. The inaugural meeting of this initiative will be held in conjunction with the EDGE19 Policy Conference. |
